 Craig Bounds…

Instructor/Guide

My lifelong passion for motorcycles and everything motorsport has seen me compete all over the world

My first bike was a Suzuki FZ80 step-thru, the two-stroke equivalent of a Honda C90. I remember at six years old my brothers plonked me on it and we ragged it around the farm. I got a Suzuki RM50 after that, and had a KTM 400 when I was 12. My brother used to fill up the petrol tank and start it for me, because I couldn’t. He’d then point me in the direction of a mountain and I’d ride it until it ran dry. Then I’d flick it onto reserve and that’s when I knew to head home.

As the first Welsh person to complete the world renowned Paris to Dakar Rally and the first Brit to finish the brutal, Malle Moto (finishing 2nd place), I certainly have some interesting stories to tell! I have spent the last ten years competing in various rallies around the world including 9 international six-day enduros (coming away with Silver medals in all of those races)

Whilst I still love taking part in exciting events; I really do enjoy the rewarding work-life balance of coaching and guiding other people to effectively plan, deliver, and ultimately succeed in their own off-road motorbiking endeavours!
